Project Preparation
Translators familiar with the subject will be selected for a team and a team leader will be
appointed to review the job, create a glossary and submit the completed glossary to the
client for review and approval.
Translation
With the help of translation memories (TM), your project will be carried out in a
professional manner with maximum care and effort. Translations will be carefully
proofread by translators before being forwarded to QA staff.
Proofreading/Editing
Upon completion of the translation, proofreaders (usually senior translators or editors)
will review and edit the translation line by line to ensure that the translation is accurate,
consistent and of acceptable quality. If the translation is not up to standard, it will be
returned to the translator for reworking along with comments and instructions for
improvement.
Desktop Publishing
The finished translation will then be forwarded to the DTP staff for desktop publishing.
The DTP engineers will initiate their work based on the instructions. With a multitude of
fonts and layout applications at their disposal, your project is now in expert hands. Any
issues found during formatting will be promptly reported to the QA staff for further
confirmation by the client.
Final Review
This is a general examination of the document to ensure that the content and format
meet standards and requirements before being delivered to the client. The QA staff will
check against the original file for completeness, correctness, and consistency according
to the QA and DTP standards of the company.ll ensure the correct terminology is used in all of
the right places.
